How to Reach Jama Masjid

Delhi is served by the Indira Gandhi International Airport and is well connected to cities across India and the world.

Some of the major carriers connecting Delhi to other cities are Air India, Indian Airlines, Jet Airways, Kingfisher Airlines, IndiGo Airlines, British Airways, Cathy Pacific and Emirates etc. There are three main railway stations in Delhi, namely:

  • The New Delhi Railway Station
  • The Old Delhi Railway Station
  • Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station
The main trains connecting Delhi to other cities are:

  • Delhi-Ajmer Special
  • Nizamuddin-Mumbai Special
  • Delhi-Shamli DMU
  • Taj Express
Delhi is well connected to the rest of the country and is served by national highways like the NH 3, NH11, NH 8 and NH 24.

Once in Delhi there are local buses plying from various points in Delhi, like the Interstate Bus Terminus at Kashmere Gate and The Interstate Bus Terminal at Sarai Kale Khan. Alternatively auto rickshaws and taxis can be hired for the same. The Jama Masjid is walking distance from The Red Fort and Chandini Chowk. The Delhi Metro can also be used to travel to the Jama Masjid.
